anyway...there was this huge "that's what she said" moment in class today, but i couldn't say it cause it was during lab and it was something the professor had said...so we're like inoculating 3 plates with 1 swab and the professor says,

"it should be wet enough for three"

SO wanted to say "that's what she said" but then it was in the middle of class...i even looked around to see if anyone else caught it, but NOPE...so sad...a perfect moment ruined...

Which band do you like most? The two stainless steel ones are the same, but the face is different. So, if you like the stainless steel band, which face do you like better?

I just came back from my gyno appointment that went very terribly. The doctor didn't really gain any respect from me. I didn't really expect much from an Asian doctor, but he really was not even on par with the typical Asian doctors. Either that, or I haven't seen an Asian doctor in a while and he totally refreshed my memory about Asian doctors. First of all, he was chewing gum. He did not introduce himself or shake my hand. His cell phone rang, and to do me one better, he picked it up.

Like for serious. I know doctors are busy people, but shouldn't a patient get your undivided attention? Not to mention I probably saw him for like 15 minutes--tops. The irony of that was they had a piece of paper that said "We aim to provide the utmost care to our patients. Please be patient, you will receive the same when it's your turn" or something along those lines. He was taking my family history and I mentioned my mom had cerival cancer and he's like "Did she die from it?" He was the most sensitive doctor I have ever met. What if she did die like a month ago and it was still a touchy subject for me?

Anyway, I was prescibed fluconazole, which is something we regularly prescibe at Huntington Veteirnary Hospital and it just made me think, "Wow. Even pets get treated better at the doctor's office than I do." The type of quality care that we provide is amazing - not even human doctors can really compare. At least the Asian ones that is. So all in all, DVMs > MDs
